WUA Radar According to Nacka Municipality, Sweden’s Supreme Administrative Court has upheld that the agreement for expanded YBC school premises was a lease rather than a construction contract requiring procurement. The municipality therefore avoids the SEK 3 million procurement fine most recently sought by the Competition Authority.
From Monday 21 September, Motala restores fees at municipal paid car parks while making the first two hours free. Parking must still be registered in epark or by text. Drivers using a payment machine do not receive the two free hours because the machines cannot support the arrangement.
Until 31 December 2026, some Region Norrbotten patients may be assessed for IVF attempts four to six following extra state funding. Eligibility is limited to people whose first, second or third region-funded egg retrieval occurred on or after 9 June 2024. Every attempt requires an individual medical assessment.
All 98 ninth-grade pupils at Ramnerödsskolan are being offered paid work experience in Uddevalla municipal services this autumn. They work two hours per school week until Christmas with an assigned supervisor. The pilot aims to build experience and motivation and may later include private employers.
Diö waterworks is receiving new process equipment and electronics to improve reliability after roughly 50 years. It supplies Diö, Liatorp and Stenbrohult, but the municipality says customers can use water normally during the work. Completion is planned for mid-December 2026.
Lilla Edet Municipality is beginning an overview survey of buildings in Hjärtum. Conservation specialists from Tyréns start in week 39 and document from roads or other public places. The work will identify culturally valuable buildings and environments as the first step in a new heritage programme.
Construction has started on the second and final section of block 8 in Norrtälje Harbour. The new phase adds 61 owner-occupied flats to 50 completed homes, for 111 in total. Preliminary move-in is planned between the fourth quarter of 2027 and first quarter of 2028.
Police in Norrtälje report attempted and completed scams in which callers pose as police, authorities or companies. They try to arrange home visits or persuade older people to hand over jewellery and valuables. Authorities do not ask residents to surrender gold, cards, codes or BankID.
Tidaholm’s executive board proposes that the council adopt a ten-year structure plan for the town centre and the area along the Tidan. It will guide planning, design and investment and includes principles and practical measures. The plan is not legally binding, and the council still has to decide.
The More Wetlands in Älmhult project has received new state LONA funding and will continue throughout 2027. The municipality will support landowners from early studies to completed restoration, aiming to improve water management, biodiversity and resilience to drought, heavy rain and other climate pressures.
