All places filled on Ljusdal’s health and social care training programme

All places on the health and social care programme at Utvecklingscentrum in Ljusdal have been filled after strong demand over the past year. The upper-secondary-level programme trains assistant nurses over three full-time terms. New students can start twice a year and part of the training takes place in workplaces.

Swedish Election Authority accredits 240 observers from 22 organisations

For the first time, the Swedish Election Authority has accredited election observers from organisations under rules effective since 1 December 2025. By 7 September, 22 organisations and 240 observers had been accredited. Accreditation clarifies their status but does not give them broader observation rights than the public.

Södertälje seeks new operator to run and develop Farstanäs camping

Södertälje has opened a two-stage procurement for an operator to run and develop Farstanäs camping and sea bathing area. Companies are first assessed for participation, after which qualified applicants are invited to tender. The municipality is continuing work on service buildings and technical infrastructure in parallel.

Lilla Edet reports improved school results and safety at Fuxernaskolan

Lilla Edet Municipality reports rising merit scores in years 6 and 9 at Fuxernaskolan and more pupils passing every subject. According to the municipality, upper-secondary eligibility is around or slightly above the national average. A safety survey in year 8 also shows a return to the municipality’s high 2022 level.
