Construction has started on the second and final section of block 8 in Norrtälje Harbour. The new phase adds 61 owner-occupied flats to 50 completed homes, for 111 in total. Preliminary move-in is planned between the fourth quarter of 2027 and first quarter of 2028.
What happened?
Wästbygg began the first phase in 2022 and residents moved in during 2024. Developer Klövern is responsible for the new phase, with one- to four-room flats. The project is beside the Harbour Promenade and Harbour Park and is currently the outermost block in the area. Sales have already started.
Location
Norrtälje, Stockholms län
Impact and significance
Completion affects housing supply and how the new district meets the waterfront and park. Municipal information describes a green courtyard and shared roof terrace with an orangery. These are project plans, not guarantees of exact move-in dates or future prices. Buyers must rely on the developer's contracts and sales materials for individual terms.
Background
Norrtälje Harbour is being developed in stages through multiple blocks, public spaces and infrastructure. Block 8 therefore combines private housing with a role in the wider urban setting. The 111 homes are the total after both phases; the phase now starting consists of 61. Distinguishing these figures avoids overstating the current start.
Latest update
Construction has begun and sales are under way. The municipality gives a provisional move-in window from Q4 2027 to Q1 2028, allowing for changes during production. Future updates should check the developer's timetable, construction impacts and when the shared courtyard and roof terrace become available.
