Tomelilla Municipality is inviting the public to consultation meetings on 20 and 25 August about its proposed new comprehensive plan. The consultation runs until 4 September, and residents can also submit written comments through the municipality's planning website.

What happened?

The first meeting will be held on August 20 at 18–20 at Österlen's Folkhögskola. The second will be held on August 25 at the same time in the Kastanje School's dining hall. The municipality's officials must present the updated proposal, answer questions and discuss the content. Everyone is welcome according to the news.

Location

Tomelilla, Skåne

Impact and significance

The comprehensive plan sets out the municipality's long-term approach to land, buildings, infrastructure and development, but it is not an individual construction decision. Comments submitted during the consultation are documented and may influence the next stage. Anyone commenting on a particular location needs to read the planning proposal and maps, not only the news notice.

Background

The planning horizon is 2040. The consultation meetings are a supplement to the written channel and do not replace a formal submission if the municipality requires one for registration. WUA does not reproduce the content of the entire plan and does not take a position on the land use proposals.

Latest update

The consultation closes on 4 September 2026. Participants should check premises, availability and any changes on the municipality's side. The person making comments should use the official route and save a copy or confirmation.
